Stage One is the most affordable of Blue's transistors and discrete Class A microphones to use the interchangeable capsule system: it can be adapted 9 different types of capsules in the ‘lollipop’ format, the Bottle Caps. Their installation is simple, quick and flexible, because based on a bayonet-type fixation, and the sound possibilities are considerably multiplied by the number of capsules, polarities, and thus of possible sound catches.

The Bottle Rocket Stage One enjoys a high-precision design, and is assembled by hand for intensive use and to last. Compared to other micros in its category, the Stage ONE has a very low noise level and develops a pretty impressive output gain: qualities that are typically sought by which records in digital at high resolutions. The Bottle Rocket Stage ONE does not include integrated circuits, but a Class A amplification without output transformer, to restore a precise signal, free from background noise, distortion, and unwanted coloring.
