SE-4400A

The sE4400a is the last microphone of the SE Electronics range started 6 years ago with the sE2200a.
It is based on the same capsule as the 2200a, but in double capsule version, which allows it to obtain several different polarities, making this micro extremely versatile.

The 4 available polarities are cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-8 and omni. They are supported by 2 low cuts (60Hz and 120Hz) and 2 mitigation pads of 10 and 20dB. The chassis is compact... very compact, but still allows to accommodate a double 1" capsule and a very high quality electronic. The micro design allows to use it flat for overhead or amp guitar, or even inside a large box. It is also perfect on voice and voice over.

The black, non-reflective finish is ideal for use on stage, theatre, TV and broadcast applications that use many lighting.

The capsule was developed and tested for 2 years with professional and broadcast studios to give this microphone a rare quality: extreme versatility and sound quality. Vital in pro studio or broadcast when a sound engineer seeks a microphone that can be placed on any source with the same rendering and sound quality, it is also essential for studios and home-studios to the limited budget that need only one microphone to adapt to many different applications.

As always at sE, the capsules are handmade and individually adjusted to avoid problems and defects of modern micros from automated plants.

Supplied with a compact suspension with a unique design allowing to place the whole in reduced spaces or to allow to overturn the microphone for "close-miking" and vocal application, the microphone is also provided with its transport flightcase.
