In response to the growing demand for engineers, AKG decided to produce the C 451 B with the improved features dramatically and an outstanding performance/price ratio.

The capsule of the new version is permanently attached to the preamp to eliminate mechanical problems of the screw joint. Using an extremely light membrane, the new C 451 B is almost completely insensitive to handling noises. A metal case offers excellent protection against RF interference and the microphone is robust enough to give excellent results even in extreme conditions.

The C 451 B is an excellent tool for capturing signals with many battery pulses, sound-taking charge, or other instruments with a sharply impacting sound. The aerated sound, the high limit of the capsule and the electronic saturation circuit and improved the details of the Engineering C 451 B are a solid basis for creating another legend.
