The UX3600 is a system processor, with user-adjustable functions that include the range of processing tools, such as equalization filters, delay, gain, cross-over, and polarity. However, these functions are implemented using custom-designed algorithms to optimize their usefulness when applied to speakers. For example, unlike many filter designs, the UX3600 is capable of producing a flat frequency response. In addition, to calculate with greater accuracy the signal delay distances, a temperature setting compensates the sound speed differences.
In speaker processing mode, predefined processing is available for specific MAE speakers and speaker tables. The UX3600 hardware is designed to correct speaker abnormalities that cannot be corrected with conventional digital processing. The Advanced Limitation is designed to maintain sound quality, while achieving the maximum output levels based on outputs of the amplifier and provides an appropriate ambient humidity adjustment to the equalization of the air loss based on distance listening.
Although the output parameters are locked to prevent accidental or deliberate changes, the user retains the input gain control, EQ, signal delay, and polarity for the speaker set. The simplicity of this mode makes UX3600 convenient for input level users and quick to use for experienced users.
