The AVB tool is an interface that combines AVB and MADI network protocols with four high-precision micro/instrument inputs and analogue lines, as well as a headset output and two separate line outputs. Following the concept RME maximum versatility and connectivity, 128 MADI input/output channels were also added to the hardware in a compact half-rack format of 1U.

The interface offers a converter with the most common analog signals in a governed, a recording studio or on stage: four combo XLR-TRS entries, with a gain of 75 dB controlled remotely by 1 dB steps; an input line level sensitivity of +18 dBu, with a high switchable impedance on each channel; a stereo headphone output; and two line-level analog outputs, with switchable reference levels of +4/+19 dBu.
