The SM48 has a cardioid directivity which allows for a high output level, while avoiding larsens. Its frequency response is optimized for voice, with clear meidums and a low cut filter to cancel the proximity effect. Its capsule is equipped with an internal shock suspension to reduce manuipulation noises.
