TASCAM HS-4000 4-track CompactFlash Card Recorder

The HS-4000 is the professional Tascam-oriented studio recording/reading solution, based on a CF card recording support. The HS-4000 manages the SMPTE timecode and offers all connections requested by professionals, including serial control at RS-422. Another constant at Tascam, the audio quality: the HS-8 is at the end-to-end height, and even allows high-resolution recording, 96 kHz / 24 bits.

Audio files are created on a CompactFlash card – a recording support that is recognized for its high reliability, in Broadcast WAV format. The HS-4000 integrates two CF card slots, which allows parallel recording ( Mirror function) or relay (increased recording time). A remote is available as an option: it is equipped with keys ensuring instant playback from a remote location via an RJ-45 link.
