Need help ?
The excellent reputation in digital mixing, thanks to its iLive and GLD systems. Since live sound engineers can no longer switch from digital mixing, Allen & Heat has expanded its assortment with this 16-channel compact mixing table, which will prove itself on stage as well as in studio. QU-16 entera in competition with other compact digital mixing tables in this segment. It has a great advantage over others: it has motorized faders, a dSnake connection and an integrated iLive FX effect library.
QU-16: the "total recall"!
This small powerful mixing table has a reminder of the settings ("total recall"), including 17 motorized faders and AnaLOGIQ digital pre-amplis. This new mixing table designed for the studio and for the live is equipped with 16 single entries, including line entries and XLR inputs. Using the SuperStrip section, you can control the gain level, the high-pass filter, the parametric equalizer, the pan (pan) and the threshold (seuil) of the compressor per channel. The high-resolution touch screen allows you to access extensive channel settings, such as routing possibilities, effect parameters, and system management. Allen & Heath QU-16 is equipped with the QU-Drive USB interface, thanks to which you can carry a stereo signal (even on multiple channels with a Mac) or directly save two WAV tracks on a USB support. Using the interface, system information, such as stage and library data, is sent, and firmware updates are installed. Like all serious digital mixing tables, the QU-16 can be controlled remotely using the free QU-Pad app for iPad.
dSnake and the ME Personal Mixing System
The Allen & Heath QU-16 is based on the GLD-80, a much larger and expanded mixing table, and also has the dSNAKE protocol. This system allows you to connect extension racks using an Ethernet cable and control personal monitoring systems, such as Allen ' Heath's ME system. This system consists of a ME-1 Personal Mixer and a Monitor Hub with 10 connections, which offer each musician or group member personal monitoring. As previously mentioned, the signals are transported by a single CAT 5 cable, resulting in an ultra-low audio connection. You no longer need a large number of cables that cause technical difficulties.
