Many high-quality recording modes

With the Portacapture X8, you won't be confused. Immediately after starting, you arrive on the Launcher menu that allows you to easily and directly select the most suitable audio settings for your application. This saves considerable time by allowing you to focus on recording in itself rather than on configuration. However, you can change the settings using the MANUAL app.

6 recording applications are directly accessible: MANUAL; for a multitrack recording of 6 maximum audio sources + a stereo mixing, VOICE; for interviews, dictates and meetings, PODCAST for podcast production up to 4 speakers, MUSIC; for a sound of instruments and ensemble, FIELD; for the recording of natural and outdoor sounds, and ASMR; for the recording of natural and outdoor sounds.

The Portacapture x8 offers a predetermined gain setting, for an extended signal dynamic using two high-quality and high-resolution A/N converters. The result is a sound of high quality without compromise, even on low-level recordings. With a plug'n play USB interface, you can use the device as a compact mixing table with built-in microphones for live streaming via OBS or a similar platform.

The device incorporates by default two static microphones with a diameter of 14.6 mm each. They can be configured as AB (large stereo image) or XY (reduced phase problems for a more accurate stereo image). Finally, you can drive the remote recorder via your phone or tablet using the optional Bluetooth adapter AK-BT1 and Free Portacapture Control app.
