The Warm Audio BUS-COMP is a fully analog 2-channel stereo VCA bus compressor based on a classic circuit that has defined the reference of the smooth and fluid compression characteristic of the discs of all styles for decades. Stereo VCA bus compressors perfectly control the dynamics over many sources, but they have become widely known for their magical touch on stereo mixing.

Adapted to a range of sources; voice, various instruments, and especially dreadable on acoustic battery buses or drums, this type of VCA bus compressors have become very appreciated for their ability to control the dynamic effortlessly, but also for the additional tone and depth they provide to the audio signal that passes through them, even when no compression is applied.

One of the features that distinguishes the BUS-COMP from other VCA compressors of this type has been to insert CineMag transformers manufactured in the United States in the signal path driven by fully discreet operating amplifiers. With a simple pressure on a front panel switch, these transformers are inserted into the audio path, offering an increased depth, tone and atmosphere!
